Eye convergence exercise in physiotherapy for concussion rehabilitation in Basel

Who I Am

Millie Brecheisen Physiotherapist

I often say that a good physiotherapist needs just two things: a sharp mind and skilled hands.

I am a physiotherapist specialising in sports physiotherapy, manual therapy and concussion rehabilitation (including dizziness and balance disorders). Many of the people I work with are active, but their goals can be completely different. For one person it is a return to competition; for another, getting back to work or simply feeling normal in daily life again.

Sport is also part of my everyday life. After competing in alpine skiing and mountain biking, I now race BMX. That experience does not make me a better therapist by itself, but it does mean I know what injury, doubt and the long return to confidence feel like from the athlete’s side as well.

This combination (professional expertise on one side, personal competition experience on the other) strongly shapes the way I work. Evidence still matters. But it only becomes useful when it can be translated into something that fits your life, your sport and the goal you actually care about.

Proven Expertise

Degree in Sports Physiotherapy & Manual Therapy, trained in Switzerland, Canada, and France.

High-Level Athlete

Former competitive skier and mountain biker (now BMX racer), I understand your injuries and your goals.

Personalized Approach

Care centered on your needs, never a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Experience with Champions

Former physiotherapist for the U.S. Paralympic Ski Team and Trek Factory Racing.

Personalized Therapies Tailored to Your Needs

In my physiotherapy practice in Basel, I try to offer the kind of care I would have wanted as an athlete (especially at times when specialised rehabilitation was difficult to access). The problem may be a sports injury, a concussion or a return to higher performance. The principle stays the same: treatment should fit the person, not the other way around.

I place great importance on delivering high-quality, patient-centered physiotherapy in Basel.

My treatments combine a passion for sport with modern, evidence-based methods to help you regain mobility, confidence, and performance.
